We are a Brazilian technology company that develops, manufactures, and sells computers, mobile phones, tablets, smart home and office devices, payment machines, servers, and IT infrastructure solutions, in addition to educational technologies. We also offer integrated services in IT and mobility equipment leasing, technical support, and managed IT services. Our range of products and services is aimed at end consumers, companies, schools, and public institutions.
Our company was founded in May 1989, stemming from an idea in a classroom by the founder and current president, Helio Bruck Rotenberg. At that time, the company was called Positivo Informática. We entered the market with the goal of developing, manufacturing, and selling computers to schools that used the Positivo education system.
Starting in 2017, we embarked on a new phase that transformed the company. We implemented a diversification strategy and expanded our portfolio beyond computers, mobile phones, tablets, and educational technologies. The variety of solutions and operations in different markets was symbolized by the new name by which we are known today: Positivo Tecnologia.
Our company continued its growth trajectory and established its operations in three business units: Consumer, Corporate, and Public Institutions. In this way, we began to serve different consumer profiles and retail networks with products fully aligned with the interests and needs of Brazilians. We became a "One Stop Shop," a technology company with complete products and services for the digital transformation and technological evolution challenges of companies of all sizes. Our experience has made us specialists in public tenders, as well as developers of special projects that make government institutions increasingly connected.
Our solutions reach practically the entire Brazilian territory. We are also present in other countries such as Argentina, Kenya, Rwanda, China, and Taiwan. Our administrative headquarters are in Curitiba, state of Paraná. We have factories in Ilhéus (state of Bahia) and Manaus (state of Amazonas). We are a company of diverse businesses and a diversified portfolio, which includes the following brands: Positivo, Positivo Casa Inteligente, Positivo Servers & Solutions, Positivo SEG, Positivo as a Service, Positivo Tech Service, VAIO, Infinix, and Educacional. Our brands also include Algar Tech MSP, the name of the company we acquired in 2024 to offer managed IT services to corporate clients.
